About Us: H2Ozarks is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and improving water quality in the Ozarks region of Arkansas and Missouri. We work on a variety of water-related initiatives, including septic remediation, stream monitoring, outreach to landowners and other stakeholders, implementation of conservation practices, and watershed education. We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized projects coordinator to join our team and assist with a variety of programs, particularly for our Arkansas office.

Position Overview: The Projects Coordinator will play a key role in the successful implementation of programs related to stakeholder engagement, conservation practice adoption, water quality research, and public outreach. The coordinator will work directly with landowners, engage with the public and other key stakeholders, and help manage documentation processes for these initiatives. Public outreach, stakeholder engagement, and volunteer coordination will be a central aspect of this role, ensuring that the projects are effectively communicated and inclusive of community input.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage program documentation, including eligibility requirements, funding agreements, and project review reports.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure project goals are met.
  • Serve as a point of contact for landowners participating in conservation practice programs.
  • Coordinate public outreach efforts, including organizing and facilitating stakeholder meetings, workshops, and educational sessions for landowners and the community.
  • Foster strong relationships with landowners, community organizations, and government agencies to promote program participation.
  • Assist with program implementation, including landowner outreach, project tracking, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate and engage volunteers, ensuring effective training and appreciation efforts.
  • Collaborate with team members on water quality research and monitoring projects to support organizational goals.
  • Assist with preparing grant reports and other documentation for funding agencies.
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and project objectives.
  • Effectively communicate direction, achievements, and goals of initiatives to enhance public awareness and engagement.
  • Plan and execute tabling events to raise awareness and promote engagement.
  • Perform other related tasks as needed to support the mission of H2Ozarks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, public engagement, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Methodical documentation skills to maintain meticulous and detailed records, ensuring accuracy and clarity in record-keeping.
  • Experience in public engagement, community outreach, or working with landowners.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for environmental conservation and water quality improvement.
Pay and Benefits:
  • $20-$22 per hour commensurate with experience and demonstrated skills.
