In an effort to reduce falls, keep folks moving, connected with others, and improve quality of life, Stone County MU Extension has partnered with the Fordland Clinic in Kimberling City to offer Stay Strong, Stay Healthy (SSSH). SSSH is an evidence-based strength training program designed for older adults who want to improve their strength to prevent falls, but it also works well for middle-aged adults who want to start being active. All equipment is provided. We have added a nutrition component to provide healthy eating tips and samples of easy and affordable healthy recipes. This 16-session program will be held at the Kimberling City Community Centeron Wednesdays and Fridays, June 4-July 30, 1:30-3:00 pm. Registration is required. See attached flyers for registration details. This program is available at no cost to participants thanks to a Skaggs Foundation Helping Hands grant.
