Description

The second week of April is Holocaust Education and Awareness Week in Missouri, and through the efforts of the Antisemitism Education Center of the Ozarks, a series of related special events will be presented for all residents and visitors in our area.

This special week in Branson begins on Sunday, April 16th, at 2pm with a Free Community Film Event and the showing of the movie, The Hiding Place – provided by the Billy Graham Worldwide Association and the Branson Regional Arts Council. This event will be at the HISTORIC OWEN THEATER, 205 South Commercial Street, Branson, MO.

Doors open at 1:30pm, and seating is open with no reservations required. Arrive early for best seat availability.

The Hiding Place is a 1975 film based on the autobiographical book of the same name by Corrie ten Boom that recounts her and her family’s experiences before and during their imprisonment in a Nazi concentration camp during the Holocaust during World War II.

The film was directed by James F. Collier. Jeanette Clift George received a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer – Female.
